These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RetroGrade AI ("RetroGrade", "the Service"), operated by Jothishi ("we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What RetroGrade is

RetroGrade is an AI-powered Vedic astrology assistant. It uses your birth details (date, time, place) to compute your chart and generate answers grounded in classical Vedic astrology principles combined with large language model reasoning.

2. Not professional advice

Answers are for informational, educational and reflective purposes only. RetroGrade is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or relationship advice. Do not make important life decisions (medical treatment, legal actions, investments, marriage, etc.) solely based on RetroGrade's output. Always consult qualified professionals.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase questions. Users under 18 may only use the Service under supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Your account

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the birth details you provide. Inaccurate details produce inaccurate readings.
• Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone else.

5. Question credits & payments

• Access is delivered via question credits. Each question you ask deducts one credit from your balance.
• Credit packs are sold as one-time, non-recurring purchases, priced in Indian Rupees (₹).
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. By purchasing, you also agree to Razorpay's terms.
• Prices, pack sizes and included quotas may change from time to time. Credits already purchased remain valid.

6. Refunds

Because question credits are digital and used immediately on-demand, sales are generally final. Our full refund policy — including the limited circumstances under which refunds may be granted — is set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, or that violates others' rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying prompts or models.
• Submit content that is hateful, sexual involving minors, or intended to harass others.
• Use the Service to make binding predictions for third parties without their consent.
• Resell RetroGrade answers as if they were your own professional advice.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, design, prompts, chart engine and branding, is owned by Jothishi and protected by applicable laws. You keep ownership of your birth details and the questions you write. You grant us a limited license to process them to deliver the Service and to improve quality (in aggregated / de-identified form).

9. Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free Service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Where a paid feature is materially removed, we will provide a reasonable equivalent or refund unused credits attributable to it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of predictions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jothishi and RetroGrade will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you locally.
